As retailers continue to be faced with supply chain challenges they are also being challenged with re-evaluating their supply strategies. This past week, American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) announced their second logistics acquisition of the year, Quiet Logistics. While, Quite Logistics is based in Devenes, MA they have eight fulfillment centers in six cities (Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, St. Louis and Jacksonville) where workers aided by robots fulfill shipping orders. Quite logistics is aiming their inventory strategy towards younger generations inclusive of urban lifestyle brands, additional clients are Peloton and Outdoor Voices. This fulfillment strategy may have helped Pelton’s distribution, one of my friends order a Peloton today and received a delivery date within 1 week! Don’t worry, I am keeping a pulse on if it delivers on-time!
